SURFING WITH THE ENEMY Full Mo

  1. I can't wait to get my hands on my copy of the full movie. Can you believe that it's actually illegal to surf in some countries. This one is set in Cuba and shows the lengths they'll go to in order to feel a little freedom in their lives.

  3. I am really looking forward to seeing the full movie. I love the music soundtrack which is so powerful and really adds to the impact of the story whilst invoking the atmosphere of Cuba.

  4. Hi Guys....My partner and I (Gisborne Kiwi) actually have opened a non - profit surf school in Havana with the Cuban surfers in this movie. Eduardo Valdes. I am actually showing this movie in the next week here in Sydney as a fundraiser on the big screen as well as live music by a heap of artist including Aussie hip hop legend Ozi Batla.

The music from the doco soundtrack is actually from a music label (Trespeso Hip hop) based in Auckland. The guys have spent a lot of years in Cuba working in the hip hop scene.

The Cuban Gov't are actually very much behind the surfers and what we are doing. They just don't have the resources to actually get behind us and the surfers so everything must come from outside the island. As long as you are upfront and willing to put back into the community rather than take the Gov't are fine. They want people to have the sport of surfing as long as their is a mutual respect.
    Cheers
